Jeanette Regan-Anders Appointed to NANOE’s Prestigious 2017 Board of Governors

Tucson, AZ January 20, 2017 – The National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives (NANOE), headquartered in Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the appointment of Tucson based Jeanette Regan-Anders, founder of a local animal welfare and rescue organization to their Board of Governors.

Regan-Anders, who has been advocating for non-lethal solutions for companion animals in Southern Arizona’s county shelters, and has also developed International Boards and Advisory Groups for the medical linguistics field, will be inducted on March 7 and 8 at NANOE’s 2017 Capacity-Building Convention & Expo. This two-day caucus will bring together industry experts to renew, improve, strengthen and distribute a new set of guidelines that supercharge nonprofit organizations. She will be honored alongside her fellow governors March 7-8 in Columbia at the NANOE convention.

“Charity” has been paralyzed by a set of failed “best practices developed decades ago. In response, NANOE formed a working group made up of practitioners, volunteers, academicians and philanthropists to research and develop a new set of capacity-building “competencies” that empower non-profits. The group will submit 60 new key practices to NANOE’s Board of Governors for evaluation. The governors will review, expand or redact key practices relating to organizational development, communication and collaboration and will emerge with a new set of competencies to increase sector impact. Regan-Anders, built several nonprofit organizations and was a driving force in the development of the first Standards of Practice for medical interpreters adopted nationally as an accredited certification tool.

She created and led the International User Group with participants from Taiwan; UK; Canada; Japan; Australia; Mexico; New Zealand; China. Her passion for animal welfare steered her to co-found No Kill Pima County and launch Lifeline Oro Valley Animal Rescue. She has been recognized for her vision and is the recipient of the “Spirit of the Industry” award.

Headquartered in Washington, D.C. NANOE is the only unifying nationwide association for charitable organizations and executives who serve the human welfare, education, healthcare, faith-cause, environmental and arts sectors.

SAFeR LifeLine is a not for profit (501c3) corporation committed to providing an online platform for connecting individuals with groups dedicated to saving the lives of animals in Pima County.

We believe that that the ability to quickly and easily identify temporary homes will significantly reduce the number of innocent lives caught up in the killing cycle of today’s government-run animal control centers. This along with community awareness and a strict implementation of the No Kill Equation will help to bring about the model that in over 200 communities has been able to save over 90% of the animals that end up at the county shelters.

Pima County Volunteer Opportunities through NKPC

Pima County Volunteer Opportunities through NKPC

No Kill Pima County is a grass roots, community group of committed individuals dedicated to saving the healthy, treatable and re-habitable homeless pets and feral cats in Pima County.  NKPC believes it will take the commitment of the County, Pima Animal Care Center, The Humane Society of Southern Arizona and the community to achieve a No Kill Pima County. None of the above entities could do this without the full participation of the others. NKPC is identifying the gaps in the services and programs offered at the shelters within the county, as well as community resources available to meet the needs of the public, and advocating for change through public awareness and direct support.

No Kill Pima County has several current projects that we are actively working on at PACC and in the community to save more lives.
